"Create a poster, t-shirt, webpage and social media ads for an event. The event may be a concert, festival, race, or etc. (i.e. ice cream festival)
The poster must combine a minimum of four graphic elements merged into a layout. You will create each object and image in your final composition. Find photographic reference to help guide you. The images may come from any source. As an example, you may want to draw a fish, clouds, musician, or some type of architecture (i.e. Empire State Building) in your scene. You will also select and apply appropriate typography to the layout.

To help with creative concepts, think about different genres where your chosen product could exist. Science fiction, satire, drama, action and adventure, romance, mystery or horror. You may also want to think about creating your own elements such as smoke, bubbles, fire etc. The design must include at least 5 different photographs’ that will be blended as one scene or object."

The symbol may be a simple illustration or shape that represents the company’s purpose and flavor. Once the final logo has been designed and completed you will apply that design to letter head, envelop and business card."
Course Summary
This course has taught me how to proficiently use digital programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I am now able to create my own graphics, edit photos, and create images that are not rooted in reality. All of these skills have helped me in my other classes, especially printmaking. Throughout the semester, my work quality noticeably increased. Comparing the first project and the last project, my skills in designing and use of digital programs have gotten a lot better. I feel like my portfolio is successful, however, there are things that I could improve, especially from the first project. Overall, this class has helped me develop real-life skills which I will use beyond college.
